Whales & Fishing Combined

Combined Fishing & Whale Watching in Campbell River

The best of both worlds and affordable fun for everyone!

50North Adventures is the only company to combine Whale watching & Salmon fishing on the same charter!

How Your Combined Whale Watching & Fishing Charter Works

The humpback whales are usually not far from the fishing grounds in Discovery Passage and the Salish Sea, so you don’t waste time travelling between the two. Your four or eight hour combined charter is completely flexible — it’s your boat, your call. Spend more time with the whales if a pod is active, or focus on fishing when the salmon are biting. Dean reads the conditions on the day and helps you make the most of every hour.

The Only Combined Fishing & Whale Watching Tour in Campbell River

50 North Adventures created the combined fishing and whale watching charter concept in 2020, and we remain the only company in the Campbell River area to offer it. Every other operator makes you choose — a fishing charter OR a whale watching tour. With 50 North, you experience both on the same trip at a price that’s significantly less than booking two separate charters. It is the best-value way to experience everything these waters have to offer.

Your Boat & Your Guide

Every combined charter runs aboard our covered Grady White 265 Express with a maximum of six guests. Dean Parsonage, owner and guide with over 25 years of marine experience, captains every trip personally. The boat is Transport Canada approved, fully insured, and equipped with professional fishing gear, a hydrophone for listening to whale communication, and real-time sighting reports from the local operator network. Read 50 North’s 5.0-star rating reviews across Google and TripAdvisor.
